FAQ
Is moissanite a diamond?
No. Moissanite is a gemstone of its own (silicon carbide), grown in a laboratory. It rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale and shows more fire than a diamond.
What does ct DEW mean?
Diamond equivalent weight: the carat a diamond of the same size would weigh. Moissanite is lighter than diamond, so it is sold by size in millimeters, with the carat given as ct DEW. A 6.5 mm round, for example, is 1 ct DEW.
What do DEF, GH, IJ and 7A, 6A, 5A mean?
The letters are color grades on the diamond color scale: D to F is colorless, G to H near colorless, I to J slightly warm. 7A, 6A and 5A are the grades cutters use for the finish of a moissanite; 7A is the finest.
Are the pictures photos of the stones?
Yes, except black round moissanite: until our photos are in, its first picture is a drawing of the cut. The photos show stones of the cut and color in that listing, and the last picture of every listing shows every size drawn to scale, so you can compare sizes before you order. Colors can look slightly different from screen to screen.
How much is shipping?
Loose stones are not part of free shipping. Shipping is charged at checkout by country and weight, with tracking; one stone to the U.S. is $9.99. Stones are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days, and U.S. delivery takes 5 to 9 business days after dispatch.
Can I return a loose stone?
Only if there is a quality problem. If a stone arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos or a video, and we replace it or refund it. Stones are not returnable for a change of mind.
Can I get a size or shape that is not listed?
Ask us. Most cuts come in more sizes than we list. Stones cut to your order are not returnable.
