Is moissanite a real diamond?
No. Moissanite is its own lab-created gemstone (silicon carbide), loved for its exceptional brilliance and fire. It is not a diamond, and we never describe it as one.
Does it come with a certificate?
Yes — moissanite pieces come with a GRA certificate for the main stone. The certificate covers the main (center) stone; the accent stones are listed under Details & Materials as moissanite or cubic zirconia (CZ), or none if the piece has no accent stones.
What does “ct DEW” mean?
DEW is diamond equivalent weight: the carat weight a diamond of about the same size would have, as listed on the maker’s size chart. Moissanite is lighter than diamond, so the stone itself weighs less than its DEW. The size in millimeters is the stone’s actual size.
Will my piece tarnish?
The moissanite stone keeps its sparkle. 925 sterling silver can naturally darken over time with air and moisture; a gentle polish with a soft cloth brings the shine right back.
